Dryden Rotary Receives Award for Business Celebrating Youth

At its 2016 Business Excellence Awards gala on September 17th, members of the local Chamber of Commerce voted to award the Rotary Club of Dryden its "Business Celebrating Youth" award for its support of area youth projects.

The Club was particularly singled out for its Performing Arts series as talented young people would take to the stage and deliver award winning speeches or play the piano for the audience of parents, teachers, friends, and Rotarians. Rotary youth programs also include short-term and long-term Youth Exchange, Rotary Youth Leadership Camp held at Clear Lake, Manitoba, Model United Nations Assembly, and its week long Adventure series in both Agriculture and Technology.

President Carl Eisner accepted the award on behalf of Rotary. In a show of support, more than a dozen Rotarians representing other businesses and organizations proudly stood up and followed Carl up to the podium.

It was a great day for Rotary and a great way to show our community who we are.
