Jeannie McMaster’s career as a teacher and educator spans a 32 year period. 
 
During that time she spent most years being a JK – Gr. 8 teacher. However she also worked as a literacy teacher (reading recovery), oral language Special Assignment Teacher (SAT) , curriculum SAT , and as oral language project coordinator for the Northern Ontario Education Leaders (NOEL), an organization of NWO Directors of Education.
 
McMaster’s specialty is literacy. She has conducted literacy workshops for teachers and attended or given workshops in Canada, as well as Australia and will be attending one in Maui this winter.
 
She and husband Jack, a retired Director of the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and also a Rotarian have established a small consulting business to continue to share the skills and ideas that they have acquired during their years in the educational field.
 
Jeanne is married to Rtn Jack and has 2 daughters Jennifer, who was one of the speakers at Rotary last week and is Vice Principal at DHS, and Kailey who is a teacher in Sioux Lookout.
