Louise Fisher of Dryden’s Lutheran Church shared with Dryden Rotarians a new program the church is about to start for the caregivers of people with dementia.
On Jan. 17, 2018 the parish will convene the first meeting of a support group for the caregivers of people with dementia. The purpose is to have such caregivers come together and talk among themselves about what they are going through. In this way, they may share successful ideas and informational programs can be supplied.

Pastor Wood has agreed to lead the group. The objective is to set aside 1 hour a week on Wednesday at 10 a.m. for such assistance and training.

The caregiver may bring their dependant with them if necessary and church volunteers will care and look after them. This leaves the caregiver free to participate in the group session.
