Drdyen RemembrancePat Alberts a veteran from Royal Canadian Legion lead the members in a solemn pre-Remembrance Day service. Two young trumpeters began with the “Last Post” followed with a reading by Alberts.

Pat invited everyone to a service at the Legion starting 10:30 a.m. on 11the November which would be followed by wreath laying at cenotaph.
Alberts shared a story about a Drydenite named Lillian Van Koughnet (nee Lalonde) who worked for the Canadian Army at the base in Shilo, Manitoba. There she packed parachutes for Canadian paratroupers. He related how Dryden service member Barry Dzoeba remembers picking a parachute out of the stock overseas because it had a Dryden girl’s name on it.
