More than 2 million people are reported to have already fled Ukraine to neighboring countries in freezing temperatures, facing an uncertain future. The UN is predicting as many as 16 million people will be affected by this crisis and in need of humanitarian assistance, including 4 million refugees.
ShelterBox is committed to supporting families affected by the crisis in Ukraine and is on the ground in the Region, liaising with Rotary and Rotaract leadership and members in the region to coordinate information and better understand the situation. ShelterBox is in close contact with Rotary District 2231 in Poland and with a wider regional coordination framework under Rotary International Director Katarina Kotsalis.
