Tianna Markowski is a DHS student who was sponsored on the Rotary Youth Exchange by the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout.

Markowski spent spent 310 days in Brazil. She was based in Sorocaba, Brazil. Sorocaba is the eighth largest city in the state of São Paulo with an estimated population of 700,000 inhabitants.

Tianna gave us a picture tour that included her three host families , the two schools that she attended , a number of her youth exchange friends , and a few of the tours she took while there including one into the jungles of the Amazon.

Although Sorocaba is only 200 km from the Atlantic Ocean, it usually took about 5 hours to travel there.

Markowski thanked the Dryden and Sioux Lookout Rotary Clubs for an amazing opportunity which has only whetted her appetite for more travel.

This fall, Markowski will attend the University of Manitoba.
