Alba's visit to Blue Lake

Alba’s first few days were spent with the Keens where she got to experience tubing and fishing on Thunder Lake.

She then moved to the Carlucci family, during which time, she got to experience a calm sail on Lake Wabigoon, caught her first fish, and experienced her first small plane ride.

Alba also had exchange student get togethers where she even learned to curl. Other Canadian experiences were skiing at Whistler with her parents when they visited, her first snow machine and ATV rides, plucking a partridge and watching a deer being butchered, ice fishing and walking on water aka an ice road.

Some school Outdoor Ed experiences included a dog sled ride, sleeping overnight in a Quinzee (house made of snow) and tree planting.

Alba shared the fact that she learned to love eating anything as long as it had maple syrup on it.

In closing Alba revealed that she has had some of the best experiences of her life and thanked Rotarians for the opportunity.
